Cecil (セシル Seshiru) is a character featured in Blue Exorcist: The Chronocyclic Labyrinth.
Appearance[]
Cecil is an elderly gentleman with a long white beard and hair. He wears somewhat regal, if antiquated clothing with a small feathered hat. Over this he wears a long purple cloak and gloves with a sword at his waist.
Personality[]
While on the surface, Cecil appears to be reasonable and decent, he is in fact a greedy, heartless person, using his position to accrue wealth for himself while executing innocents under the guise of destroying demons.
History[]
The demon possessing Cecil revealed his history as a righteous man who wished to exorcise demons despite being a soldier and not an Exorcist. Despite his best efforts, he ended up mortally wounded and in this vulnerable state made a deal with the demon to hunt devils together. The demon revived Cecil's body, though how much of the original man can be said to exist still is dubious.

Blue Exorcist: The Phantom Labyrinth of Time[]
Training in the Labyrinth Garden, the Exwires arrive in a 17th century fortress town in England, where Cecil and his men are hunting demons, despite not being exorcists of any order.
Powers & Abilities[]
Cecil seems to possess impressive skills with a bow, firing accurately enough to pierce Izumo and Shiemi's Paper Summoning Circle without hitting them.
In his demonic form, he can exert some influence over Coal Tars, enough to manifest a Koks alongside him in battle.[1]
