The Atami Sunrise Beach is a coastal beach in the city of Atami located in Shizuoka, Japan.[1]
Features
While primarily an ordinary beach, there are a handful of features that make the area worthy of note.
Sea God's Island
A small island off the coast, it contains an ocean cave where Amatsumi Hiko resides.[2] From about 1500 years ago, the island was the centre of worship for Amatsumi Hiko.[3]
